Fantastic two week start to a new semester with a new group. Building culture and community with cardboard sled races, axe throwing and fire challenges.

Kicking off a large project on human impact and taking a number of weeks to "observe" the potential issues, problems or opportunities that we could investigate. Trying something new.. asking students to take many photographs from their vantage point of what they see in real time.

At start of school year...going to share more tools that I use. Today: empathy map to begin better understanding audience of our work.

Sharing: I like how bottle biology helps build science skills and gets everyone outside!
