$390 million surplus off the back of denying injured workers compensation. That is obscene. The Victorian government needs to revisit these Workcover changes.

Childcare should be universal and free. The fact the Libs think its some holiday for parents shows what they really think about working families.

This is leadership. Standing with workers, against massive corporations seeking to cut wages to boost profits. These workers are not on high wages, relying on every dollar. No surprise that Woolworths & Coles are 2 companies with the worst reputations in Australia. #springst

Today Vic Govt recommitted to releasing Psychological Health Regulations. This should come into force by end of year. This welcome step will bring us inline with other states, giving workplaces directions on how to address psychosocial risks to keep workers safe. #springst

In 1851, voting was restricted to males of over 21 years who owned a substantial amount of property - which would no doubt make someone like James Newbury feel right at home. #springst

Craggy was the first very senior union official to spend time with me when I joined the movement. I’ll be forever grateful for his words of wisdom at La Notte. Later I had the privilege of working with him at Trades Hall. He was a fierce advocate. 👍 bless your heart, Craggy 👍
