macOS: "notifications from your newly installed program will include X, Y, and Z" what they really meant: "notifications are totally disabled for your new program, press the tiny unintuitive triangle button you can barely see if you actually want to enable them"

Cox: *breaks our internet* Cox 5 minutes later: *sends two duplicate emails saying there will be future maintenance in your area on March 21st 2024* Yes, March 21st was two weeks ago.... Thanks Cox, you never disappoint.

Ah, a nice calming Canva presentation to look through for work. Canva: BOOOOOM POPUP BABY. Canva isn't for doing work, silly, it's for reading our distracting popups! Popup size: Really F****** Big Popup title: "Need more space?" Me: Well, NOW I do!

Perfect implementation of the "show more" UI button, courtesy of HBO: Entire tv series text summary is visible, except a tiny sliver of the last 2 words. MORE button reveals the tiny sliver. Total space saved: -15% (*negative* 15%...).

Every time I touch my ear or adjust my hair, this godawful Apple Music program opens, despite me never using or wanting it. They steal the overly-sensitive tap button from my earbuds. Apple is useful for amazing hardware, but their software and ecosystem are offensively bad.

I don't think the top email providers are actually trying to stop spam anymore. All they need is a check for the phrase "my previous email" and this alone is basically 99.9% chance of the email being spam. These obvious spam emails get through all day long though...

"secret questions".... one of the most broken security features of all time. They are unsafe to even fill out because employees at the company might allow an identity thief to access your account. Only safe thing to do is type gibberish into them. Thanks TransUnion

Here's how Google thinks your account should be kept secure: Use a long and arbitrarily chosen session lifetime (seems fine), then wait until you're actively in the middle of writing an important email and instantly refresh the page. Even hospital portals aren't this bad!
