Fabulous day at Greenfields Primary school, Seaton Burn. We made and tested vehicles and designed our own vehicle body.

Here are some of my Roman (and Greek) water engineering working models. The Roman Architect and engineer Vitruvius designed all sorts of amazing structures and machines. He was a very highly regarded inventor. More Roman inventions on the way soon and some video clips.

Here's a fab model catapult for firing foam boulders. it's a very popular workshop activity with family groups.

We're used to seeing Roman buildings and structures made from stone but wooden bridges were very common in ancient times and would have been built first then replaced by stone bridges. This is a model wooden Roman bridge with paper tubes and wooden dowels.

Fun times at Tanfield, The Oldest Steam Railway in the World. We had a brilliant Jubilee day on the trains and firing the Water bomb catapult. Thanks everyone.
