Motivational Monday: What a better way then to start with our motto! Nothing works unless you do! ~Maya Angelou If you want to grow and get better you must put in the work, not average work, but sweaty, engaged, full effort work! #soccer #youthsoccer #TechnicalAthlete

Training doesn't stop when practice is over. Do whatever it takes to separate yourself from the pack. Our athletes are doing just that! #HardWorkPaysOff #TechnicalAthlete

As we say - nothing works unless you do - Justin M. Williams works hard everyday he comes out. It has been amazing to watch his growth physically and mentally since day one with us! Can't wait to see what the future holds! #HWPO #soccertraining #goalkeepertraining

One of my coaching absolutes: The Olympic lifts need to be done explosively and with good form. Don't teach athletes to be sloppy and slow.

Reminder: Soccer players should not train like XC runners. Your level of fitness has very little to do with your 2 mile time and everything to do with how fast you can recover after sprinting at max velocity. Being game fit is not an objective steady-state pace to aim for.

"Many people delay taking action because they hope to avoid suffering. They keep searching for a path that won’t involve tradeoffs. But some form of suffering is always inevitable. The process of taking action is the process of choosing your pain." –James Clear

Actually amazes me how many players don’t respond back to coaches texts or emails The only positive I’ll say is, it probably helps the coach dodge a bullet by not having them recruit a player who can’t communicate properly. Which is a HUGE part of the game, University and life

Most of the excuses I made -not enough time -not enough money -not enough knowledge -not the right connections were just ways to avoid the real bottleneck: Not enough courage. There was always a small step I could have taken—if I had the guts to take it –James Clear

Don’t confuse activity with improvement. Just because you show up doesn’t mean you are getting better, it just means you gave yourself a shot at average. The intent is what separates people.
