died. He would have been 98 today. (I'm now 3 years younger than he was when he died!)

Tomorrow would have been my comedy hero's 98th birthday.
He is still my favourite comedian and is still remembered fondly by Luton Town FC. There's a bunch of Luton supporters called the Erics who dress as him in tribute.

Down to the New Forest today, to watch a friend take part in the #Huntsman #Triathlon . Vicariously proud of her, and the look of pride on her dad's face (who brought her up alone since the death of her mum when she was 11) was wonderful.

I last saw the #NorthernLights in the UK in May 1980. I was 11, & the memory of it has stayed with me vividly for 44 years.
Photographs don't do it justice, so instead of taking pictures on a phone, I just stood & watched them. The memory of it will last longer than any photo

I love The Pogues. Have done since 1st hearing them on John Peel as a teenager. My dad, a Dubliner, rated them highly. My mate, the late Craig Duffy, was a roady for them. Great review of what was obviously a great gig.
