Definitely got teary eyed watching this team compete today. So many wonderful women for L1 to admire and look up to. Their resiliency to overcome obstacles and be transparency is admirable.

We were very serious scientists today while listening to I am a Booger, Treat Me with Respect as we kick off our Disease Prevention unit. I LOVE sharing this book with the children.

Working together on our norms for writers workshop. Student voices were heard first then I put their thoughts together. We agreed on this sentence to describe what it should look like during writers workshop. I think they hit the mark!

What students say it needs to look and sound like so authors in our room are successful. I promise they get talking time.

Yesterday, we got to observe the snake eat with our fourth grade buddies! 30+ children in the room and you could have heard a pin drop.

Check out a few science notebook journal entries about the corn snake. Their attention to detail is phenomenal and these are just a few.

This corn snake is getting a bit spoiled. Today, he ate tail side first which would likely not fair well for him if it were a live mouse. The second picture was taken by a student. “Mrs. Turner, do you want me to take the picture? I have a better view than you!”
