Score three in 8 to force and extra. Came down to skip stones in 9. Skip’s last slides a bit wide and our weekend ends earlier than we had hoped.

Very solid bounce back effort after losing by one in an extra this morning. We’re at 1 and 1 heading into the 5:00 game. Time to rest, recharge and refuel to get ready for a tough Team Steele.

So many positives from this weekend with this amazing group of athletes. We battled a lot of adversity, including sickness. We challenged ourselves and rose to the occasion. We are ready and looking for to next weekend’s provincial qualifiers in Palmerston!

Last practice before provincial qualifier weekend is in the books. We’re dialled in and ready. First up Team Laitar. Friday night at 8:30 PM at the Palmerston Curling Club. Go Team Madden!

Bad news was our third has come down with a bad stomach flu and is not able to play. Great news is we rallied around each other posted a solid win to keep advancing. Back on the ice at 8:30 PM against Team Woodend.

We battled hard tonight. But the second game in one day with only one sweeper and a couple of unlucky breaks proved too much. Our path to Provincials now goes through the B-side. One the Ice at 9:00 AM hunting for that second spot. One game at a time.

Well it seems the Gods were conspiring against us. The flu takes out a second teammate and we are forced to withdraw. Our dream of heading to Provincials will have to wait another year. Best of luck to all remaining competitors and Good Curling!
