Cleanup after train derailment near Huxley ongoing. CN says 67 cars derailed onto their sides during yesterday's wind storm in Central AB.

From what I can tell, most cars have been cleared from tracks & repairs still being done. CN says no injuries or dangerous goods spills.

A train is currently moving through the derailment area. It's unclear if any of the cars/sea cans are from yesterday's derailment or not.

Rcmp say a confrontation happened when they found a man in a parked, stolen vehicle - He was shot by police, and airlifted to hospital.

Mounties say the man has since died. ASIRT is investigating. Rcmp say there's no risk to the public & no officers injured.

Range Road 234 (off of highway 11) is closed on the south side while officers investigate.
