Black jobs?

I hate that no one has challenged this notion of "Black jobs."

We’re still trying to figure out what a #BlackJob is? Because if it’s showing up every day to build a democracy that continues to undermine us, we’ve been doing that since 1619. Quote this with your “Black job”

Telling Black folks that immigrants are coming for their “black jobs” sounds an awful lot like Jim Crow segregationists trying to convince southern white people that “coloreds” were taking their jobs after desegregation… We not the same. P.S. nothing but dogwhistle politics

.Myriam Gilles who is targeted by the pathetic racist Northwestern screed is far and away the overall most talented law professor I have ever come across. She is among the most well respected civil procedure scholars in the country. Moreover, almost every year 1/4

she wins an award from the students for her teaching. She has been offered, and turned down, an embarrassing number of jobs at top institutions. To say we at .Cardozo School of Law are gutted to lose her to Northwestern is an understatement. I have never met an academic OR law student who

it shouldn’t have to be said but I cannot help myself. She is a treasure.

If more law professors—hell, more people—had even an ounce of Myriam Gilles’s talent and integrity as a scholar, teacher, administrator, and colleague, the world would be a better place. Any suggestion to the contrary would simply be laughable were it not also so deeply bigoted.
