Caltrain's Tasha Bartholomew took two important messages to the board today, first a proclamation for #HispanicHeritageMonth honoring the contributions of Hispanic Americans in the Bay Area & transit. She also kicked off #RailSafetyMonth, unveiling a month of events.

Caltrain, through Tasha's work, has been connected to rail safety group Operation Lifesaver, for more than 11 years. Nancy Sheehan of Operation Lifesaver zoomed in to accept the proclamation. California had 800+ rail fatalities from 2017-20. "Stay off, stay away, stay safe"

September is #RailSafetyMonth and all month long we will be sharing tips on how you can remain safe near railroad tracks. To start off, remember to always wait behind the yellow line! Trains are coming in quick, so stay aware. CAOL
