People in MMA REFUSE to acknowledge what it means for UFC to be a monopoly. Sure, some talent will trickle out, but most will not, at least not on a timeline any other promoter can meaningfully use. They contractually hold all the cards. There is no real freedom of movement.

Jeremiah Johnson 🌐 Emanuel is also getting Trump to help push through Congress bespoke legislation so they can have a monopoly in another combat sport. Somewhat surprised at how little people seem to actually care about crony capitalism.

We think they will do exactly what the UFC does. Promote their promotional belts as world titles, and the ACs of Assoc of Boxing Comm will give their blessing to this fraud on the public.

Tonight Congress is voting on a bill to deregulate boxing. It's being pushed by Dana White and his Saudi Arabian UFC investors. The bill would gut worker protections for boxers and remake the sport in the UFC’s image — boxers could become underpaid, and under-protected.

H.R.4624 has yet to make it to the Senate. So to all the American boxing fans out there, reach out to your senators (use the link below if you need to). Flood their inboxes and keep their phones ringing with calls to oppose this bill. #boxing senate.gov/senators/senat…

The average pro boxing career is 5 years. It’s extraordinary to see politicians acting as though allowing 6 year long exclusive promoter contracts is a labor protection.

Zuffa want to run boxing like they run the UFC. Here’s what a federal judge says about how they run the UFC. Tell your Senator to protect the Ali Act and not pave the way for a boxing monopoly.

The fact you can’t sue Zuffa in their contracts is insane, fighters should stay clear or they won’t have even the basic rights.

In other words— —Look at all the leverage a Zuffa monopoly provides—to Zuffa. Come on over boxers and you too can be exploited by a monopoly and enjoy around 15% of the revenues you generate. —

Why do so many UFC champions attempt to box—when that is not their sport? Why do virtually no boxers enter MMA?

Require non-exclusive contracts from any promoter operating as a UBO Senator Ted Cruz Markwayne Mullin. As Khan testified-it’s all about fighter choice and not about trapping highly ranked fighters into exclusive contracts, so TKO should have no issue with this improvement.
