Today is Election Day, #COP26 & the birthday of my late grandma who inspired my sense of civic duty. A special day for the release of this important volume with our chapter on the role of non-formal education in promoting green livelihoods & action to combat plastic pollution!

Schools are closed this week, & yesterday at backup care, a fellow kid told my 6yo that he didn’t like his curly hair & his dad -who is Black- is ugly. Stop framing these discussions to protect white ppl’s delicate feelings. Kids of color don’t have the luxury of ignoring race.

With #COP26 this week, I created this resource flyer for my kids’ school to help connect this global event to climate actions we can take locally here in #JerseyCity, and thought I’d share here in case anyone finds it useful!
