One of Jamaica's most wanted, Ryan Peterkin aka Ratty and an unknown accomplice were killed in a confrontation with the security forces this morning. Ratty was wanted in connection with numerous crimes including multiple murders in St James. One AK47 and one revolver recovered.

The sub-machine gun and 24 rounds of ammunition were seized in Frome, Westmoreland today; nine persons were taken into custody in connection with the find. Heightened operations by members of the security forces continue in Westmoreland.
