Back from the retreat. After 7 years of meditating, I feel like I finally got to the starting line. Changing the brain’s ingrained habit to mind-wander (the Default Mode Network) takes time. This path is long & hard indeed.

In Vietnam for the first time!!! The meat is REALLY good here, and there’re always more veggies than you can eat. People are friendly, there’s a lot of water around (I’m in Hanoi), which I like, & there’s a lot of energy everywhere. Are too much so went running around a lake🔥

Began my annual vegan period yesterday! Been getting rid of leftover cheese, butter, and a few rashers of bacon, but my animal product consumption is down by ~98% Due to logistics, I'll be vegan for a month, then not for 2 weeks when traveling, & back to vegan for another month

Broke my 3-day fast. It’s been a while since I properly fasted (the last one was last September, for a week) so this was a good reminder how good food tastes after a solid fast. Enjoyed lots of free time (no eating = time saved) & I’ve got a rebooted immune system to boot😂

First time in Rome! Was there for 9 days but couldn’t explore much due to work. Gelato was good, and so was the truffle carbonara. Love the vibe of the Eternal City as well. Gluten-overload, though😭

I’ve reached 10,000 hours of meditation🔥 That’s been a goal (and an attachment!) of mine since I began meditating seriously 8 years ago, but now I can finally lay that goal-driven part of me to rest. One less thing to let go of😁
