One noticeable difference between Sydney CBD and Melbourne CBD is the relative lack of on street car parking in Sydney, if Melbourne reduced its then more people would take PT and there would be more space for people walking and cycling.

This is true. In the Sydney CBD there is virtually no on-street parking allowed during business hours, and off-street parking is very expensive, which forces people onto public transport.

SYD international is totally overrun this morning. Never seen the queue for departures like this with hundreds and hundreds of people in the maze.
