It's not a contradiction to be socially liberal but economically conservative.

Travel, cars, watches, urbanism and poking fun at the COVID zero brigade.

That what works in a lab or in an observational study in which confounders are not controlled, or which have a sample bias, does not automatically scale up to working at a population level. *cough* population mask policies *cough*

The last 24 hours has made it clear that if you stan any politician, they can do anything and you will make every excuse for them imaginable. MAGA areas.

What an utterly stupid argument. Hopefully Minns doesn't cave to the idiots in the Shooters Party and doesn't weaken gun laws in NSW. smh.com.au/politics/nsw/g…

A full-time employee on *minimum wage* is in Australia’s THIRD tax bracket. Could a lot of Australia’s concerns about income inequality be dealt with by cutting back income tax?

i've gotten a tonne of replies with variations of this point and i don't really understand how people don't get that being the Prime Minister and meeting a head of state is different to being a private citizen in a group photo four feet from Kim Jong Un

Putting aside the merits of the issue, this is the problem with the pro-Palestine march across the Harbour Bridge having been allowed a few weeks ago. Now all sorts of cranks and cookers will believe that they are entitled to do the same.

Have to say, Qantas' new premium economy seats to be rolled out on their A350s look really nice. The proof will be how they hold up on the 18-20 hour direct flights from Sydney to London and New York in 2027, however. executivetraveller.com/news/qantas-ne…

Dezi Freeman doesn't recognise the government and thinks that laws don't apply to him, but when it comes to taking the government's money, yeah nah all good. 🙄

One noticeable difference between Sydney CBD and Melbourne CBD is the relative lack of on street car parking in Sydney, if Melbourne reduced its then more people would take PT and there would be more space for people walking and cycling.

taipan168 (@taipan168) 's Twitter Profile Photo

This is true. In the Sydney CBD there is virtually no on-street parking allowed during business hours, and off-street parking is very expensive, which forces people onto public transport.

SYD international is totally overrun this morning. Never seen the queue for departures like this with hundreds and hundreds of people in the maze.
