"One Small Step" received RIIFF's Oscar-qualifying grand prize for best animation and went on to be nominated at the 91st Academy Awards for Best Animated Short Film. The film presents the story of a Chinese-American girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut.

We finished #OneSmallStep over two and a half years ago! This was one of the first scenes I storyboarded and also animated in CG. I made the fake shadows on the floor and highlights in her eyes with polygon primitives and ramp shaders. The compositors did an incredible job!
