KA III palate; Smooth arrival, light/creamy mouthfeel. Some spice and red fruit flavours, light citrus, a slight revival of spice on the finish.

It appears everyone is on tonight! Enjoy yourself and don't start slinging it everywhere like our mate Richard Paterson! 😆🥃

the main takeaway tonight is that the Dalmore lineage is *strong*. Can smell and taste the consistency through all four drams. As much as I'm a fiend for port-finished whiskies, I think the 12yo Sherry Cast Select might have pipped it for me. Bold but balanced.

I'll need to bail all 🙂 the midges are out in force now and I don't have reception at my camping spot, I'll need to head back over to it and build a wee campfire to keep them at bay while I still have enough light.

Massive thanks to my friends at Whyte & Mackay and to Steve Rush for this evening's Tweet Tastings “The Home of the Tweet Tasting” - I was worried I wouldn't have a connection and I'm so happy to have joined you all, it's a privilege as always. Sláinte! 🥃

King Alex is really quite tasty. Sweet creme brulee, werthers originals and double cream. I'm not convinced it would be a firm recommend but yeah it's ok.
