Good morning from Stokesay castle, apparently they have giants here, but I haven't seen any.... Stokesay is the best preserved fortified medieval fortress in England, having been built in the 13th century and set in the Shropshire with fabulous views.

Wenlock Priory in Much Wenlock was founded in 680 as an Anglo Saxon monastery. It was then re-founded by the Normans as a Cluniac monastery in the 13th century. Sadly only the ruins remain but much of the Cluniac decoration can still be seen English Heritage

The amazing Wroxeter Roman City, 2000 years ago Wroxeter (Viriconium Cornoviorum) was one of the largest cities in Roman Britain. Thanks to English Heritage you can wander around the remains of the bath house, the museum and explore a reconstructed town house

Next door to English Heritage Stokesay Castle is Church of Saint John the Baptist which is also worth a visit. Originally founded in the 12th century and rebuilt in the 17th century. It is set amongst the glorious hills of Shropshire Visit Shropshire Hills Visit Shropshire
