Blanchardstown RPU arrested a motorist for drug-driving after a positive cannabis test while on patrols targeting anti-social behaviour at a local industrial estate late last night. The car was impounded for No Insurance. Court proceedings to follow. Never Ever DUI #SaferRoads
We were on patrol in Cork when were alerted by the ANPR device that this car had no insurance.
They were stopped and it was found that the driver was an unaccompanied learner who tested positive for cannabis.
The car was seized, court to follow.

It was found to have no insurance, NCT, no tax for 1436 days and no licence!

We were on patrol on the N7 recently when they stopped this truck.
It was then found that the driver had been disqualified for 10 years!
The driver was arrested and vehicle was seized.

This morning, our RPU in Tipperary conducted active patrols, monitoring speeds in East Clare & North Tipperary. Here are some examples of speeds observed in 50km zones, with FCNs issued in each case. Please drive safely this weekend & allow sufficient journey time. #SaferRoads

Not only did the driver not have insurance but he was also disqualified in February 2024 for drink driving.

The DMR East Roads Policing Unit carried out a joint agency checkpoint with the RSA Ireland at Black Rock recently.
Ten vehicles were stopped and ten notices were issued by the RSA for various defects and we issued a FCPN to driver not wearing their seatbelt.

Gardaí were holding a checkpoint at Rathangan, Co. Kildare when they spotted the driver of this car try to avoid them by turning into the driveway of a residence that wasn't theirs.
Turned out that the driver had never held a driving licence, and had no insurance.
