Duminuco et al, nightmare of hematologic syndromes continues. This one developed after #2 and clinically looked like hemophilia but responded to cytoxan+prednisone similar to a lymphoproliferative syndrome. Took two months. Regretful patient is miserable through SAE ordeal.

Acquired angioedema (AAE) is defined as a deficiency in the C1 esterase inhibitor.

It is a rare disorder characterized by recurring angioedema without urticaria that may be linked to lymphoproliferative disorders (LPD).

In chronic GGO differential diagnosis, DIP & LIP are included. Both are interstitial pneumonias, present similar to NSIP > GGO (peripheral & lower lobar distribution). DIP, smoking related disease and LIP, benign lymphoproliferative disorder. Cysts are clue for diagnosis (slides)

Splenic tuberculosis with portocaval & aorto caval lymphadenopathy. I had initially read this as lymphoproliferative disorder/Lymphoma, making mistakes and learning everyday.

Rituximab was started 1/12

Commonly affects lung
Assoc. EBV, immunosuppression
Grading:
I: <5 EBV+ve cells/HPF
II: 5-20 EBV+ve cells/HPF
III: confluent, necrosis
Grade III treated as DLBCL
