โ€˜Over medicalisingโ€™ worries is like saying :

โ€˜We will make ur life unsurvivable economically- and then call u โ€˜economically inactiveโ€™. How dare u access the sick role to surviveโ€™

Laura Lupin Most of the IAPT companies won't even touch you if you have Bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. There's a huge void between a bit of CBT and requiring powerful drugs and hospitalisation.

My GP referred me to IAPT under the NHS, and, then, to a Consultant Psychiatrist privately.
I walked away from the experience knowing that the mental health professionals had more flaws than me. And that, I'd have to find another way.

Sky News The IAPT programme started in 2008 specifically looking at improving MH outcomes so people could return to work. The number of referrals is the highest on record. Numbers of people starting treatment have reduced. Recovery is worse by level of deprivation. Appalling ยฃยฃ by govt.

There are enormous gaps. In my experience as a GP it seems 25% of those who need help can access something through IAPT, 25% get something (not enough) from secondary care (those with psychosis or Schizophrenia) but the 50% in the middle get nothing. That service doesnโ€™t exist.

I have been reaching out for help/been in touch with services for 14 years. ๐Ÿ˜

CAMHS (2x failed+harmed)
IAPT (2x rejected),
antidepressants (3 types),
a chat with the GP (useless advice)

And I have only gotten worse.

Carolyn Spring As I work within an iapt service as a step 3 counsellor a regular challenge is time limited work, although I feel any time a client makes contact with a feeling/emotion previously not fully realised or understood that can be part of their change process

Brent Elliott The odds of him seeing a psychiatrist is minimal. I work for an IAPT service and would refer this to secondary as a cluster 5 but the idea they would do anything other than immediately bat it back to us is a pipe dream

The BROWN eyed Assyrians lived especially in Germany but also found their way into other countries. Bye Bye
