Nothing creepy or sinister here, coronoviruses have existed for years the common cold which regularly affects us all is a coronavirus much like SARS & MERS which started spreading in 2002 & 2012 respectively, COVID-19 is a mutated virus within the coronavirus family!!!

Aside from H5N1 and SARS-CoV-2, keep in mind that in the last couple decades we saw the arrival of SARS1 and MERS. There's no reason to rule out other coronoviruses. On top of other influenza A strains.
