Planned meeting with local GP cancelled this week (rightly) because the surgery is overwhelmed with demand and this is a situation that’s replicated daily. Our GPs are working harder than ever from my perspective #supportyoursurgery The BMA RCGP @MartinRCGP

Let’s be honest as to why:

GPs have had a brutal two years.

You’ve probably noticed that your local surgery has changed a lot. You’re probably frustrated.

They can’t recruit, and you can’t get through…

Another busy am on-call in general practice:
✔️ most pts managed remotely
✔️ those who needed to be seen were brought down for F2F
✔️ wonderful admin & nursing team
✔️on-call doctor fed 🍫(as tired & hence mildly grumpy)
✔️no abuse today
