Elliptical stone and brick road-over-rail bridge at Duleek former railway station on the old GNRI line to Oldcastle. The original beautiful iron gate designed by the company's engineers is also still there! I had to brave a few rats to get these pics... #Railwayarchitecture
โก๏ธ๐ Set to be demolished in 1963, listed grade I in 1967 and restored for over ยฃ150m in 2011, St Pancras Station is a worthy candidate for Tim Dunn's The #RailwayArchitecture the Railways built - tonight 8pm Yesterday Channel. The The Victorian Society and Save battled hard to save it!
The Larpool Viaduct at Whitby is another nice example of #RailwayArchitecture .

The Milton Road swimming baths were featured on this evening's episode of 'The Architecture The Railways Built'. Built in 1892, the Medical Fund Society also housed Turkish & Russian Baths, a dispensary and a dentist. This photo shows female swimmers c.1900.

The second (I think?) of the noughties Network Rail modular stations, Mitcham Eastfields of 2008.
I have (a lot of) opinions on this model of modular station, but for now it suffices to note that the design already looks dated.
(Also โastfieldsโ: whoops)

We are very fortunate to have the Settle-Carlisle Railway CRP and #ribbleheadviaduct right on our doorstep! Here are some of my favourite buildings and structures close to us are, Blea Moor signal box, Ribblehead Viaduct, Aqueduct on Blea Moor and Ribblehead Station #RailwayArchitecture
Another highly enjoyable #RailwayArchitecture odyssey by Tim Dunn tonight. Particularly enjoyed #GreatMalvern , where my parents had their first home together. Hereโs the station with my Mum in 1963.
I am v sad that Tuesday evenings will now be devoid of the enthusiasm of Tim Dunn #RailwayArchitecture Yesterday Channel. I have learnt so much over the past weeks and thought tonight's ep was a corker. Jubilee Line concrete/soil and NHS beginnings=new fantastic facts!
