Bella Reay (1900 - 1979)

A new play, Wor Bella, starts at Bread and Roses Clapham
on 22 April. Bella Reay scored 133 goals in 30 games for Blyth Spartans, better than legends Alan Shearer and Jackie Milburn. After WW1 the FA imposed a ban on female players.
