A decade ago I felt so lucky to be British. Today that country is going to vote on whether to break international law, and with this crop of gutless #ToryMPs will vote yes. Notice I didn't say 'my' country. #NORTHERNIRELANDPROTOCOL
Last night, 295 MPs supported the U.K breaking international law by removing the #NorthernIrelandProtocol. This is a blatant disregard for the people and future of Northern Ireland, and further destroys our relationship with Ireland and the EU bbc.com/news/uk-politi…
The UK’s been taking a walloping ever since human wrecking ball Johnson decided backing #Brexit was the way to get into No 10. Each week he bashes our international standing a bit more. Thump -scandal. Whack - law breaking. Today’s punch - the #NorthernIrelandProtocol Bill.
I was listening to Jim Allister on #BBCtalkback yesterday. It baffles me that he says the word foreign with such venom when referring to the EU, also that he doesn't see laws are made for NI in WM over which we have no control. The #NorthernIrelandProtocol isn't the issue here!
Before anyone gets excited about #TheresaMay attacking Tory #NorthernIrelandProtocol Bill, don't forget her dodgy deal with the DUP in 2017 started the process of undermining the Good Friday Agreement, by clashing with the requirement for Westminster govt neutrality over NI.
