My lab will be studying how regulations of the floral meristems give rise to evolution & developmental variations in floral organ initiation; how do cells in the meristem access time, position, number, & identity. We will work on both #DailyDoseofAquilegia and #MimulusPropaganda
A new round of transgenic screening started! One of my fav 'moments of truth' at work - Were the plasmids constructed right? Did the transformations go as well as I felt? Will I get phenotypes? How many will I get? A very nerve-wracking but exciting process! #mimuluspropaganda
A week has past and here are some of my transgenic seedlings thriving among their dying/dead siblings! 3 constructs, 9 plants transformed, so far >80 lines and counting. Pretty good support for #mimuluspropaganda !
