Forming cup-shaped membranes, the cell builds autophagosomes that digest cellular waste. By studying interactions of regulatory proteins with these highly curved membranes via #MDsimulations , scientists from our Hummer Lab contributed to new insights into autophagosome formation.

We paired #smFRET experiments and unprecedented 3.45 ms Folding@home #MDsimulations to obtain an atomistic view of this protein. We see excellent agreement between the two approaches (4/12)
