2,500 native trees were planted this morning by Monks at Glenstal Abbey

It's part of the One Hundred Million Trees Project which is led by brothers Richard and David Mulcahy.

The initiative aims to plant up to 250,000 native broadleaf trees across the country this season.

Students from our LCA Religion class enjoyed a trip to Glenstal Abbey in Limerick last Friday. A special thanks to Br.Pádraig who shared a wealth of knowledge about the history and day to day life of both the Benedictine monastery and school.
