This #MothTrap has certainly been a step-up from what I've been having recently - 7/7 with three wonderful NFYs - Pale Prominent (Pterostoma palpina), Flame Carpet (Xanthorhoe designata), and Least Black Arches (Nola confusalis)

People who don’t know the difference between entomology and etymology bug me in a way I can’t quite put into words.

Found a large chrysalis whilst gardening this afternoon. Put it back where I found it. Any experts out there know what it belongs to? I’m guessing a large moth 🤷🏼‍♂️

Went to Chapel Woods by Quarry Bank, & happy to see my first Green Longhorn of the year! Can't wait for other Longhorn #moth s to be out; Adelidae possibly my favourite #moth family. Also saw another Common Oak Purple. I do love a shiny moth!
