#OTD 85 years ago a cryptology conference was held in Pyry, where the 🇵🇱 team gave the Allies copies of the #Enigma machine and information needed to break the code ⌨️💡#DermotTuring, Alan Turing's nephew, wrote a book in which he explains Enigma and how the code was cracked.

Eugeniusz Brzęczyszczykiewicz Bletchley Park They are getting there (slowly). Maybe in another 83 years they finally say it: "Polish mathematicians broke Enigma. When they gave the results of their work to Alan Turing in 1939, he was nowhere near, he didn't even properly start yet". Even his nephew, #DermotTuring says so.
