Another very fun session at Bandol in Whitchurch working our way through a bunch of 50ml pours of their 24 wines. There were a bunch of interesting & delicious things, including a natural Catarratto and Albarino, an orange Grenache Blanc, and a lovely Retsina. #Cardiff

A day off from school today for me... with dinner tonight we served a 2020 Tifosi Catarratto, a Sicilian grape. Pale straw color, aromas of buttered popcorn, vanilla, and green apple, and a flavor of grapefruit, lavender, and peaches. It has a crisp finish, and is fruit forward.

A couple of very weather-appropriate wines open for you to taste today. Celebrating the return of the Catarratto by opening a bottle, also a lovely bright Pinot Noir from the south of France. Come and try!
