Howard King Ray O'Reilly Lyn Griffiths Rafael Mitchell Birdquest Andy Appleton The name ‘Mongolian Sand Plover’ is really misleading. Here’s a map from my blog where blue represents Tibetan and the Red-ish colour represents Siberian (or Mongolian)

, the storm has passed, but many open areas are still flooded or inaccessible. Exceptional numbers of Willow Warblers are currently passing through, with a few Menerteries mixed in for good measure.

The storms have passed, 107mm of rain in 2hrs, quite a deluge. Many roads still flooded so there might be a delay in getting out to check what the weather delivered, have to check for any odd species. Back to the Blue Rock Thrush with 3 seen on the main Jebel pre storm.

Black redstart

From a charming shot by Howard King (with thanks), I loved the cheeky look back over its shoulder and the shaggy plumage ruffled by the wind.
