#Bahrain The storms have passed, 107mm of rain in 2hrs, quite a deluge. Many roads still flooded so there might be a delay in getting out to check what the weather delivered, have to check for any odd species. Back to the Blue Rock Thrush with 3 seen on the main Jebel pre storm.

#Bahrain completed my nest survey of four northern coastal sites, all close to human habitation for breeding Saunders's Terns. In total, I found 23 nests, the majority of which contained two eggs, now to monitor the outcome and their chances of survival.

#Bahrain As waders take on their breeding plumage few change as dramatically as the Curlew Sandpiper.

#Bahrain A few Little Terns among the waders at a roost today near Karanah. In the same general area, 3 pairs of breeding Saunders's Terns were also logged, one pair already sitting an egg, except another. Plus, pair of Kentish Plover with 2 tiny newly hatched very mobile chicks.

A resident Rufous-browed Flycatcher from Fraser's Hill. I have been visiting the hill station for more than 25 years. It is still one of my favorite species up in the highland. #bird #wildlife #malaysianbirder #BirdsSeenIn2024
