📢 Quart (Girona, Spain) demo-site news:

-The #BIODAPH reactors have been covered by a natural cloth net to deliver the necessary dappled shade in order to fulfil the #Daphnia light requirements.

-The #biofilm caracterization system has been installed in the reactor lamellas.

📢 At the end of January, the concentration of #Daphnia individuals in the first #BIODAPH reactor of the pilot plant in Quart (Girona, Spain) was 25.7 Daphnia/L, a great news that shows that the reactor is working properly!

💧 📣 The first individuals of 𝘋𝘢𝑝𝘩𝘯𝘪𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘯𝘢 have been inoculated into the #BIODAPH reactors at the demo site in Quart (Girona). It has been necessary to wait almost a month before the #daphnia inoculation to allow the growth of the biofilm on the walls and lamellas.

The #BIODAPH reactor construction & equipment installation is complete & next week the reactor will be filled with the effluent from the Antissa #WWTP to provide high quality reclaimed water for irrigation

Now it is time to connect the WWTP to the BIODAPH reactor, fill it with secondary effluent and allow the biofilm to grow on the walls & lamellas of the internal part of the reactors

🎉Successful inauguration event yesterday of the #BIODAPH reactor installed at the Quart #WWTP (Girona, Catalonia).

👉More than 40 professionals were able to learn about the details of the project and visit and experience the reactor at first hand.
