In Durness now. After days of blue skies it’s misty and murky on the north coast. But Friday’s view from Stac Pollaidh was sublime as you can see for miles across the whole of Assynt. An easy hike up there too.

A memorable 10 minutes of outrageous light over Stac Pollaidh in The only light we had during a mid-winter week in the campervan up there. Would you choose 1 week of mediocre light OR a fleeting glimpse of something lookig like close encounters of the third kind?!

Assynt is an area where I definitely need to spend more time. I always seem to be driving through it, and aside from a camp on Cul Mor, which was some time ago now, it’s an area I’ve not explored enough with the camera. Hopefully I’ll manage to correct that a bit this year.
