An interesting find this week. Hair Ice, forms on dead wood carrying the fungus Exidiopsis effusa. Uncommon it only forms under certain climatic conditions in broadleaf woodland between the latitudes of 45 and 55°N. #hairice #Winterwatch #ice

As part of the marsh fritillary mitigation on A465 S5&6, TACP have worked with Dr Peter Sturgess to relocate over 10,000 larvae away from the Scheme footprint in accordance with a method statement approved by Cyfoeth Naturiol Cymru | Natural Resources Wales and Butterfly Conservation 🦋
