Fantastic perspective on the newly passed #DebtCeilingBill. The House Republicans certainly has more work to do, but Kevin McCarthy did a great job ensuring that these appropriations are to be separate going forward and, most importantly, that we will not default on the House’s watch.

Rep. Byron Donalds was concerned that only $12M is cut in spending while $4T is added to the ceiling. Certainly not ideal, but these things should help limit how fast we hit that ceiling. With the 1% auto cut clause, hopefully we don’t get to this point anytime soon. Baby steps.
