It's International Self Care Day and we wanted to acknowledge the work and support provided by caregivers, personal support workers and healthcare providers. Because of you, people with disabilities can thrive. Today's an important reminder to also take care of your own wellness!

"I can’t change what happened. But I can change tomorrow by what I do today." After Michael Reynos had a stroke, he was clear about his rehabilitation goals: he wouldn’t be satisfied until he could walk without a cane. Read his story. #BeatStroke #HeartandStrokeBeatasOne

Happy to be at the first site in the world to use this Canadian-made new stroke platform. Early impressions - Handles tough curves like a champ and, despite the navigability, works well with stentrievers. More experience/study now needed. London Health Sciences Centre Vena Medical

First time using #BMX81 in Canada. IIH with worsening papilledema and failure of acetazolamide. Easy to track over a 27 microcath using just a 10cm sheath in the right basilic vein. Here, crossing the sigmoid into the right transverse sinus

Pressure gradient dropped from 28mmHg to 8mmHg post stent. We regularly use balloon mounted stents, though this increasingly seems the minority approach. Still, I like the trackability, lower profile delivery platforms and better radial force.
