Today we welcome Páírc Náisiúnta na Mara, Ciarraí – Ireland’s first Marine National Park and our eighth National Park. The Pairc includes the Conor Pass, as well as new sites at Inch Peninsula, Mount Brandon and the Owenmore River in Co. Kerry.

Work is under way to identify three shipwrecks that were discovered on Portmarnock Strand in Dublin over the summer. The wrecks were exposed due to a shifting sandbank, which also revealed another wreck, which has not been visible for seven years. Read|rte.ie/b/1468989
