Lyle Sterrett (28). Small town drug dealer. Convert to The Hand of God cult - being pulled in deeper by his girlfriend, Maria. Intent on serving their prophet by any means necessary. #ABirdInTheHand 🕊️

Maria Lopes (26). Developed an addiction to the opioid tincture her boyfriend, Lyle, sells. She views the Hand of God Church as the be-all and end-all… dreaming that one day they can move onto the estate along with the other dedicated families. #ABirdInTheHand 🕊️

Luca Gallo (17). Parker’s naive friend. He wants to be seen as “cool” and uses his knowledge of drugs and his connection to local drug dealer Lyle to flex and claim a reputation. #ABirdInTheHand 🕊️

The visuals of this project were heavily inspired by True Detective S1 with a touch of the colorful contrast you could find in Euphoria. Our camera moves are a mix of motivated and unmotivated at hopefully just the right moments. #ABirdInTheHand 🕊️

We chose to shoot in the mountains of Bryson City, North Carolina because we wanted to really put our audience in the scenery of our story - but our locations were merely a canvas for our wonderful art team to breathe life into them up to the tiniest detail. #ABirdInTheHand 🕊️

Our story involves a lot of high energy, sweat, and some brutal cuts and bruises. Hair & makeup artist Bre Kratzer single handedly elevated our talent to look like an image straight from our imagination. There’s a reason we keep asking her to come back! #ABirdInTheHand 🕊️
