We're all tired of crises. But when we talk about the impending childcare crisis and the healthcare crisis, these aren't exaggerations. These systems have been treading water, barely surviving, for four years, and it's unsustainable.

I think that evangelical parents were told that their ONE GOAL was getting their kids to heaven and conservative politics, and they were never taught to delight in the humanity of their children. When children are suddenly adult humans, evangelical parents don't know what to do.

I get salty every time I have to pay for asthma medication because I just think breathing is a basic human right and should be hella free.

The thing that fascinates me about Christianity is how so many Christians can hear of horrible things done in the name of Christ and think, "Well, they just had the wrong brand of Christianity. My brand would never do that." Meanwhile, they all come from the same book.

I haven't had a single respiratory illness since 2020. I used to get respiratory crap at least twice a year. I haven't needed Nyquil or Tylenol Cold and Sinus...which I used to buy in bulk. Masking is the best thing that has happened to my health in YEARS.

the john and hank green i knew from my youth built an entire platform on telling us we should critique people & systems for the good of *all*. the 15 year old me is super sad to realize this never meant disabled people to them. and never meant we should critique *them*.
