Our Y6 children proudly represented our school at the community #RemembranceDay service, on Armistice Day.

Y2 have been studying the Great Fire of London in their Curriculum with USP history lessons. This week, to round off the topic, they had a debate about whether the disaster had a positive or negative effect on the capital of England.

Y5 added a second layer of colour to their reduction print designs, in their Curriculum with USP art unit, this week. We’re looking forward to seeing the final result with all three colours next week. 🎨

Year 2 had a busy, but fun, day yesterday - using base 10 and using their exchanging skills to solve addition problems in maths, followed by developing their teamwork and ball skills of sending and receiving in P.E. ➕🏀

Our attendance figures for last week are: Reception - 97.1% Year 1R - 86.3% Year 2D - 87.8% Year 3S - 95.4% Year 4F - 94.2% Year 5D - 94.1% Year 6M - 93.3% Overall - 92.6% Our aim is for at least 95%, so well done to Rec and Year 3S. #EveryDayCounts

In today’s Curriculum with USP geography lesson, Y5 explored and compared the human features that define Europe, North and South America. They then designed a poster for tourists visiting Europe, with recommendations of human features to visit in each country.

Our Y2 Geographers have been exploring the countries that form the continent of Africa, focussing on locating Kenya and identifying the countries that it shares a border with. 🌍🇰🇪

Y5 completed the third layer of colour on their reduction print designs, to complete their Curriculum with USP printmaking unit in Art. The children added to their range of skills and the outcomes were fantastic! Well done Y5 🎨

To complete a creative afternoon, Y5 perfected their 2-part harmony and moved on to notation and accompaniment in their music lesson. Next week they will apply this knowledge, using glockenspiels.

Year 2 showed fabulous teamwork and throwing skills, as they played dodgeball in their PE lesson today.
