So National Grid UK why do you think it's acceptable to send compulsory purchase letters to residents and then not be able to explain what it means or where the pylons might go? I've just spent 30 mins with a distraught lady talking her through things & telling her how to get help

Stephen Parkes National Grid UK You would think so, wouldnβt you? She received the letter and map out of the blue this week, over three years into the process. She rang the number and they were unable to explain what the impact would be and didnβt tell her to get a land agent (fees paid by NG) to advise her.

Rosie P π¦ π¦ π·οΈ π¦ ππ³π²π§ National Grid UK And these are just the opening shots- wait until the derisory offer with an insulting timelinevfor acceptance........

Rosie P π¦ π¦ π·οΈ π¦ ππ³π²π§ National Grid UK I was so pleased to read your post this morning as Iβm convinced that there will be many people who will be confused receiving a CPO Compulsory Purchase Order. Itβs a disgrace that someone can suddenly faced with a position where they have to fight to keep their own house.

This is exasperating Department for Energy Security and Net Zero because you could avoid the Β£4.2bn constraint costs by listening to local people and using an underground HVDC system for Norwich to Tilbury. thetimes.com/business-moneyβ¦

Department for Energy Security and Net Zero It would be quicker and not resisted (and doesn't even require a DCO...) And also National Energy System Operator everyone knows N2T won't be delivered before 2031 - it's been in their documents since 2022

Cost same as pylons (please ask to see our analysis) far quicker, and not resisted. This can be solved!@PylonsEAnglia

If,over last 4yrs, Steve Reed MP ,govt listened to 10s of 1000s objectors to 1000s of pylons despoiling UK countryside&farmland, they may not now be subject to predictable, and expensive, delays.[Times article10/7] CAN b solved Nikki Maguire πππ Elizabeth Reynolds Fiona Curtisππππ§ SBolwell-Davies
