It's International Day of the Midwife. We're so proud of our midwives and everything they do to support women, families and babies - both on our Maternity Unit and out and about in the local community. The unit is holding a raffle and enjoying some cakes to celebrate. #IDM2023

WiFi SPARK is offering free streaming tomorrow (6 May) so inpatients can watch the coronation on their own devices. The service on bedside TV units, where they are available, will also be free. Relatives can bring in mobile devices for loved ones to use if they don't have one.

We love these interesting facts pulled together by our Arts In Hospital 💙 team. When DCH became part of the NHS, it was only treating 2,000 inpatients a year. We now see 107,000 inpatient admissions, 291,300 outpatient attendances and over 2,000 babies born every year! 💙 #NHS75

♻️ Thanks to everyone who got involved with Recycle, Reset and Refresh Week - a chance to recalibrate and refocus after our COVID response. We recycled and repurposed things we don't need anymore, and refreshed our knowledge of practices that make the most difference to patients.

A national patient survey about urgent and emergency care shows our amazing Emergency Department team are continuing to provide good care despite unprecedented pressures, with all areas rated the same or better than other hospitals in the country. 🔗 bit.ly/3Qatbkz

We've installed new signs to update our wayfinding - the first phase of ongoing work to make it easier for everyone who visits and works here to find their way around the site. Huge thanks to designers HospitalGraphics and estates colleagues for installing them in record time!
