The other day in the Logan Barrio on a little book cart outside a shop that mostly sells wooden plaques of celebrity mugshots, along with an impressive collection of NYRB titles (Michaux, for example), I found just the book I needed to find by Susan Daitch unused and only $8.

My fave—w/ Paper Conspiracies—of Susan Daitch's recent novels might be Siege of Comedians, where multiple protagonists, genres, cities, and historical periods are nested in a beautiful Russian-doll structure. An oblique reflection of 2666, perhaps, but funnier and more elegant.
