We can’t see this because we don’t have the collective structures to realise the brilliance within us, because we live in a world that violently excludes the many, that reserves the acquisition of individual heroism for the few, a world today driven by finance capital.

This is an important idea from David Graeber: lots of creativity/brainpower in the world is being lost because people’s jobs give them no opportunity/ability/incentive to develop or share it.

The idea of a linear, balanced, symmetrical political spectrum is probably one of the most stultifying ideas in political thought. It leads to nonsensical, false-equivalence thinking that leads absolutely nowhere.
