Except Sir Osborne Smith, the first guv, and for a fortnight Amitav Ghosh, no banker ever headed ReserveBankOfIndia. For some reason, GoI tried something different in Awareness . It would be sad if the doors are now shut to deserving people from the pvt sector. Today's ET / Sept5,'24
