My wife’s mom has Alzheimer’s disease. Earlier tonight, we left her parents alone at their Airbnb while we took the kids to urgent care for ear infections. Her dad fell asleep on the couch. Her mom wandered out the door… 🧵

Roselle was asleep under her owners desk on the 78th floor of the WTC when the plane crashed. Roselle calmly led Michael (who is blind) to stairwell B, and despite the smoke and noise surrounding her, led her owner and 30 other people down 1,463 steps out of the tower to safety.

This was so moving. Spontaneously stopped off at the London Bridge station organ to play a couple of pieces for the Queen. This lovely security guard, Marcella, asked if I could play Lascia ch'io pianga. Turns out she trained as a singer! ❤️😭
